Pan-Seared Shredded Chicken Recipe

Pan-Seared Shredded Chicken (Family-Style, Batch-Friendly)

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs organic chicken tenders
  • 5 tbsp olive oil (be generous!)
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • Optional: 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Infuse your oil
In a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat, pour in the olive oil. Add your spices and let them bloom for about 30–60 seconds. Once you smell that deep, fragrant aroma—you’re ready.
  2. Add the chicken
Gently lay in the chicken tenders. Sear each side for 4–5 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Cover and cook
Reduce heat to low. Cover the pan and let it cook for 10 minutes to keep the chicken juicy and tender.
  4. Shred (or don’t)
Remove the lid. Using tongs and a fork (or just two forks), shred the chicken right in the pan. You can also leave them whole if you prefer. I do it in the pan—it’s easy and mess-free.
  5. Serve it up
Serve with rice, over salads, stuffed in wraps, or alongside grilled veggies. My picky eater devours it—so it’s a weekly staple here.
