Pan-Seared Shredded Chicken Recipe
Pan-Seared Shredded Chicken (Family-Style, Batch-Friendly)
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs organic chicken tenders
- 5 tbsp olive oil (be generous!)
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- Optional: 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
-
Infuse your oil
In a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat, pour in the olive oil. Add your spices and let them bloom for about 30–60 seconds. Once you smell that deep, fragrant aroma—you’re ready. -
Add the chicken
Gently lay in the chicken tenders. Sear each side for 4–5 minutes until golden brown. -
Cover and cook
Reduce heat to low. Cover the pan and let it cook for 10 minutes to keep the chicken juicy and tender. -
Shred (or don’t)
Remove the lid. Using tongs and a fork (or just two forks), shred the chicken right in the pan. You can also leave them whole if you prefer. I do it in the pan—it’s easy and mess-free. -
Serve it up
Serve with rice, over salads, stuffed in wraps, or alongside grilled veggies. My picky eater devours it—so it’s a weekly staple here.
